The North Dakota
Vision Services/
School
for the Blind Foundation was established in 1990 to assist the population of North Dakota who are visually impaired.
The Foundation’s mission is to help provide
services to students and adults who are visually impaired.
It furnishes computers, high-tech reading devices, speech improvement,
and scholarships for higher education and vocational training.
It also funds social, recreational, and athletic events for North Dakota’s students who are visually impaired.
FACT: It is
estimated that there are over 23,000 North Dakota individuals who are visually
impaired or blind. Out of that total, the foundation reaches approximately
200 people a year with our funding.
